Austin, Texas, USA. This looks different from the other biting midges I've seen. It seems to have an interesting pattern on its thorax. inaturalist-open-data.s3.amazonaws.com/photos/135301133/original.jpg

Tried to attach an image to a forum post. jpg, 32kB, 72dpi, no blanks, ... File name is correctly displayed, but when I click "Preview Thread" it just vanishes. Help!
