Tachinid => Triarthria setipennis
sbushes
Hello hello,
Another Tachinid. Found in a cobweb today, in West of England.
Any pointers on where to start with this fellow?
Many thanks,
Sam

Certainly.
You need to omrpove your lighting, light is now on the background and not on the fly.

Thanks Theo. Yes - I am just starting to shoot indoors, so, quite new to me and still figuring it out. I realise the results aren't great so far!

I was going to try a different background colour, as people mention not shooting against white - perhaps that will help.
I am not sure exactly what you mean with regard to lighting the background....would this also be fixed by swapping the white background for something else?

In any case, yes, any practical tips from anyone are most welcome.

If you use a white background tell your camera to increase the exposure.
