 Tachinidae - Redtenbacheria insignis ♀

Hi, I think I've also found the female of Redtenbacheria insignis in my garden, bordering to natural deciduous forest with old oak, beech, hornbeam etc. Ansbach, DE-Franconia, Frankenhoehe Nature Park, 2021-06-08. The appearance of the integument is quite different from the male of 2021-06-12, that I'm still not 100% sure of my determination. What's your opinion? The thorax dusting looks untypical indeed (no distinct vittae), but the chaetotaxy is ok (3+4 dc, median discals on T3 and T4), T1+2 is excavated to its posterior border, and the orange legs! Antennae fit also. So I'd say: no doubt. Regards, Sundew |
