Oxyna flavipennis, Tephritidae, June 28, 2021, near Budapest, Hunagry
Xespok
Is this the male of Oxyna parietina or something more interesting?

Is the thorax variable between grey and yellow in this species?

It loofks to be o. flavipennis, which can be identified with certainty from additional pair of dorsocentral setae in anterior half of mesonotum,

O. parietina has always grey dusted mesonotum and ligter, white and yellow dotted wings.

In Oxyna flavipennis mesonotum vary from entirely orange to widely black, covered with orange microtrichia. Also female wing is widely brown, like in this specimen, whereas in male it includes many wide yellow dots.
