Hi, yesterday I've met a female Hybomitra but she only allowed some dorsal photos and I'm not sure, if it's possible to determine based on the poor images with the excellent "Velgids Dazen". The closest I could find is H. muehlfeldi (but there's no fen nearby), followed by solstitialis (ciureai). What's your opinion? Well, they can fly of course, looking for blood. But it seems to me the notopleural lobe is pretty dark, hence bimaculata ? Theo |
