Hello, A Culicidae found in North of France, at Haverskerque, the 09 July 2021, in large number, near a pasture and a slow water stream Maybe an Aedes sp. or an Ochleroratus sp. ? Edited by Renko on 15-07-2021 08:30 |

I think another Oc. sticticus. They like to breed in temporary pools (such as flooded pastures) ideally (though not always) with some shade.

Thanks you very much for all your replies, Tony !  I think it is very likely that there is temporary pools in the close pastures, there is also a garden nearby with a large pond with frogs and lots of lilypads, also the small stream (which is maybe even stagnant water) is covered with Lemna minor |
