These ant-like creatures (2 individuals) were found in a glass where I wanted to raise Myosotis (Forget-me-not) miners. I assume the host was an Agromyza: Cheers, Lorin Font Color All requests are from the urban area of Vienna, if not otherwise stated. My Diptera observations (and other living forms) can be found here, and corrections or comments over there would also be appreciated. |

Your parasitoid belongs to the Chalcidoidea, a superfamily with many families. In Myosotis there are several European Agromyzidae leaf miners: Agromyza abiens, A. myosotidis, A. pseudorufipes, Chromatomyia horticola, Phytomyza myosotica, P. pulmonariae. The puparium does not belong to Chromatomyia horticola. |
