Scathophagidae, Cleigastra apicalis? from Romania

Hi,

fly collected near Sibiu (Transilvania).
26.september.2007, size ~7mm

i'm not sure where to put this one: Scathophagidae or Sciomyzidae.

one photo with mounted specimen attached.

i really don't know, but my exemplary is not even close so full of setae on the legs like the one from gallery.
but i was close with the family Smile)

No, I think both Cosmin's and Gabor's flies are females - Nikita has posted a picture of a male (with clearly clubbed abdomen) in the gallery (http://www.dipter...to_id=1907). I was going to suggest there might be regional dfferences in these females, but then realised that they are both from Transylvania! Grin As Paul says the flies are not identical - which is the real albilabris?Pfft

Tried to attach an image to a forum post. jpg, 32kB, 72dpi, no blanks, ... File name is correctly displayed, but when I click "Preview Thread" it just vanishes. Help!
