Calliphoridae (♀♂) Melinda or Bellardia or ?
eklans
Hi, these flies where found in Ansbach, DE-Franconia, Frankenhoehe Nature Park, old deciduous forest, 2020-08-19. I've identified it as Melinda gentilis but according to the discussions in the thread:
https://diptera.i...ost_425313
I wonder if it could be different ones?

Female is totally OK. Male has a darkened calypter and abdomen seems more bronze than blue (to me) … so should be Bellardia.

Bellardia is about the most common Calliphorid, so I am a bit surprised / worried you have only seen four so far (or five, that is)

Four species (bayeri, pandia, viarum, vulgaris), but more than 200 photos since 2016.
And one bayeri tries to climb C. vomitoria.
Thanks Theo, I will try to indentify the 5th Bellardia now - hopefully it's pusilla.

I think the abdomen is blue (the blurry photo shows more of the abdomen) and I hope my question is not too stupid: what about Calliphora loewi?

You are right, the third antennal segment is too ling for Bellardia.
And you might try to check the number of IA bristles, I think I see 3 post IA (which would make it Onesia)

yes, 3 pst ia - but 1 pre ia? And isn't thorax too blue for Onesia?
