fly - no idea
Robert Heemskerk
Hi flyforum,

I cannot find a family for this fly.
First I thougt it was Ephydridae, because the scutum is a bit high like these flies.
It was about 4-5mm, Amsterdam forest near water and reet.

Does anyone know what kind of fly this is?

Robert,

I think you are right Nikita,
And you mean Limnophora? , cannot find Limnophorini Pfft

Comparing it with a fly like Limnophora triangula, It looks quite close.
I see some wrinkle in the swollen scutum of these flies?

I'll name it Limnophora sp., if further determination isn't possible
