Hello everyone, A small species that I identified as Leptogaster pulicornis using the book by van den Borek and A. Schulten. But I am not sure. The insect was collected in the south-east of France near Lyon, (Loire-sur-Rhône) on June 25, 2021. Size: 8mm Thank you for your help ! Shape of hypopygium looks more like that of L. cylindrica: http://www.robberflies.info/keyger/images/800/Leptogastrinae/Leptogaster/cylindrica_m2_07_COGG.jpg Still not very confident about my ID's of Leptogaster. To be sure, the third (postpedicel) antennal segment should be pubescent in L. pubicornis Greetings, Reinoud Field guide to the robber flies of the Netherlands and Belgium: https://www.jeugdbondsuitgeverij.nl/product/field-guide-to-the-robberflies-of-the-netherlands-and-belgium/ https://www.nev.nl/diptera/ |
