Melecta is more probable, also because of the dense pubescence, but both genera are very similar, and I cannot see scutellum for a clear recognition.

Fine. It is unambiguously a Melecta, maxbe M. luctuosa (but there are other species in the South). Thyreus has a completely flat scutellum, in Melecta, it is somewhat bulged with small spines or so.
