Hi there, This is a fly observed in April 2020 in Camargues, southern France, around a swamp. How far can we go in the identification of this individual. And also, what feature gives the family? I don't even know which family it belongs to... Thanks in advance. |

I think this is Sarcophagidae. But the angle is not the most informative. For most flies you need to photograph the fly from the top, from the side, and from the front.

Hello, I don't believe, Sarcophagidae. What about Muscidae (Polietes? (but it does not seem to have hairy eyes))?
