Aphid sp.
Robert Heemskerk
Hello other-insectforum,

I see a lot of these single aphids last weeks in the Amsterdam forest.
They are found on several places like benches and bins and are not in large groups but more single.

Size rather large, 3-4mm
biotope: reetland with water

What kind of family are they?
What kind of specie is this?, if identification is possible? Wink

Robert,

Sometimes difficult in the winter hideouts... To my surprise I found here several rather similar Aphids at wooden fences and different tree trunks running around actively in the last weeks. I can't tell what they do there Sad, no juice containing plant parts around...
Also I often find Aphids at our house and garden shed like those in this (german) posting: http://insektenfo...adid=11984 (pics taken tonight at 3 ?C), Don't know, from which plants they come from... Frown
Best regards,
Jürgen
