Dear colleagues, can you help me with the identification of this Sarcophaginae; the partly yellow/orange abdomen is quite striking yet I couldn't find a species that matches this characteristic. Looking at a catalog (http://hbs.bishop...gidae.html) I find about 7 species known from Polynesia. Based on the species names and distributions I would start by comparing Oxysarcodexia taitensis and O. varia, but don't take that as a genus ID. |
