I'm not sure if it is a Trixoscelis. Do you have the specimen or other photos?

Unfortunately not Heleomyzidae, so not Trixoscelis sp. Postverical seta not cruciate, mesonotum sparsely setose only (presutural setae absent), and no spines at costal vein... Maybe Acarthophtalmidae but it should be checked...

According to faunaitalia.it Acartophthalmus nigrinus is the only species of this family present in Italy.

Tried to attach an image to a forum post. jpg, 32kB, 72dpi, no blanks, ... File name is correctly displayed, but when I click "Preview Thread" it just vanishes. Help!
