Strange fly ID

Spotted this odd small fly in the garden the other day -length about 3mm. South Coast UK

Christmasimyidae, Santaclausita - female!!! Adults have a very short life-span, because they are heavy smokers...

Santamyza polaris, family Santamyzidae, related to Agromyzidae (leafminers) but these mine in ice.

Indeed, Brian, slightly early for Santamyzidae (the 'True' Christmas Fly) - I wonder if it is the very similar looking but always much earlier emerging Commercialazata noelii

No, it is not. Life specimens of Commercialazata can easily be recognised by the dollar signs on their eyes.

Tried to attach an image to a forum post. jpg, 32kB, 72dpi, no blanks, ... File name is correctly displayed, but when I click "Preview Thread" it just vanishes. Help!
