Hello, Saw in south of France. I thinks it's Urophora solstitialis or Urophora cuspidata, with the dark stripe on femora 1 ? Do the broad wing stripes rather indicate U. cuspidata ? I don't know the host plant. There were a lot of Centaurea for sure, but may be Carduus too, I don't remember. Edited by Jessica on 21-04-2023 19:21 |

Hi Jessica, Yes, you are right, it is more probably U. cuspidata female than U. solstitialis (and certainly neither U. jaceana, nor U. aprica or U. lopholomae). Is it from England? Val |
