south Norway mountain area 12th Aug 2021 So it has pale hairs under scutellum which points towards Anthomyidae, but anal vein seems kinda short, which points to Muscidae. Which one is it? Edited by MorganA on 21-04-2022 07:29 |

Some Anthomyiidae may have a shorter anal vein, and a few Muscidae have pale hairs under the scutellum - such as Helina cilipes. I suspect it is the latter.

Thank you Tony, dosn't seem like Helina cilipes is registered in Norway yet. Ill try and key from muscidae and see where I end up |

According to Fauna Europaea, H. cilipes is recorded from Norway.
