Finally an easy one! I've been getting desperate: maybe this, probably that ![]() This is a Scaptomyza (Drosophilidae). Most species have a number of colour forms. This one looks like the very typical 'dark morph' of S. pallida, a very common fly practically everywhere. pallida is easy to identify under a microscope since it has onle two rows of acrostichal setae along the mid-dorsal stripe; all other European species have 4 ac rows (I lie but only slightly, S. clavigera from the Azores is also two-rowed).
