Picture taken in early May, east China (Zhejiang province). This fly has a frons strongly protruding beyond its eyes. Could it belong to Platycephala or Eurina? Seems that both of the two genera have such characteristics. Many thanks in advance! |

This should be Eurina, with an ocellar triangle that is still discernable on the frons rather than occupying the whole frons.
