Is this Rhamphomyia sp ?
H?ron (Belgium) April 20 2007; Approx 10 mm.

the female told " you forgot my gift!!" oh.. yeeah... empidids are famous because the males usually give a gift (a juicy prey) to the females before the act. Smile

"i don't care. I'm in a hurry." Pfft

Well, there WAS a gift, although a small one. You'see it if you look closely. Unfortunately, I could not get any other angle due to the situation of the flies inside a currant shrub.

I think got picture with gift last week. The gift maybe a Bibio marci male.

Tried to attach an image to a forum post. jpg, 32kB, 72dpi, no blanks, ... File name is correctly displayed, but when I click "Preview Thread" it just vanishes. Help!
