Germany, Baden-Württemberg, district Karlsruhe, Karlsbad-Spielberg, 14.04.2022, on the flowers of Acer platanoides, meadow near the forest ca. 6 - 8 mm, Gerold Franke - Meligramma cingulata, male? I hope for help - thanks

Hallo Eric, thanks for the hint. The legs are colored differently than Melangyna quadrimaculata and there is a third pair of darker spots. |

Hallo Gerold, yes, I've overseen that but I thought the scutellum is too dark for Meligramma. If you put your thread in forum Syrphidae I'm sure you will soon find an expert for these.
