Hello I found this hoverfly around a small forest pond. I think it's either a Xylota (abiens or close) or Chalcosyrphus nemorum. Is it possible to know the species with this single picture ? This hovefly was quickly distrurbed by a male Helophilus and I didn't see it again. Chalcosyrphus , should be C. nemorum, male. |
