Thanks for your support, Norbert Thanks all readers and for the comments, but after all, for me it's not clear which nice fly shows us her back here Norbert Now it's identified, thanks Edited by nowaytofly on 21-05-2022 22:19 everyone can allways use my pictures for free, if you credit me with my nick "foto taken by nowaytofly" or similar and a weblink to this forum. |

Hello, I don't know Eristalis jugorum in nature, but this fly looks a lot like Myathropa florea to me. Best regards, Jürgen -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Juergen Peters Borgholzhausen, Germany WWW: http://insektenfo... -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= |

In summer we have lots of E. jugorum here. This picture does not show E. jugorum. Look in the gallery. Best regards Maja |

nowaytofly wrote: thank you, dipdip, May be some one else can help can say which fly it is for sure. With these thorax markings and the abdomen colouration I am sure, it IS Myathropa florea. I would bet on it... Best regards, Jürgen -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Juergen Peters Borgholzhausen, Germany WWW: http://insektenfo... -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= |
