Agree. As I understand the revision by Vujic et al. 2013, https://www.researchgate.net/publication/264505907_Systematics_of_Pipizini_and_taxonomy_of_European_Pipiza_Fallen_Molecular_and_morphological_evidence_Diptera_Syrphidae the large pale spots and the the dark wing spots with sharp delimitation towards the wing bases distinguish female nocticula from notata. |
