Hello, In the south of France on 13 April 2022. 13 mm long for the body. It seems to me that the eyes are hairless, which would be in the direction of S. vitripennis? Thank you for your advice Edited by Liliane D on 28-05-2022 22:01 |

Hello, the hind femora are nearly completely yellow, which would point to Syrphus ribesii. S. vitripennis is (here in Germany) mainly a summer species. But wait for additional comments, I am no expert.
