unidentified insect eggs
Bembix
Good afternoon,

Almost every year in June/July I find such insect eggs on dried grass panicles. At first I assumed that they were bug clutches. However, bug experts have not confirmed this so far. Maybe someone here knows an answer,

Habitat: Dry sandy grassland in south-west Germany.
Ø of eggs 1.2 mm, height 0.7 mm.

Thanks for the help.

Hello,

only a guess: Lepidoptera, Nymphalidae. Because Araschnia levana also produces "towers" (but green and differently shaped):

thanks for the comment, but butterflies can probably be ruled out.
