Hi everyone, I found this one in Brittany. Based on the 'Handbook for the identification of British insects' dedicated to Chironomids, I would say that Cricotopus pulchripes does not seem like a bad option but I am really not sure... Cricotopus pulchripes has tarsomere 2 of the fore legs contrasting white. There are at least three members of the tremulus group with dark fore tarsi and tergites 1 and 2 yellow. |
