I think it's one of the flies that used to be in Calliphoridae. |

I am definitely nit the expert here, but somehow it doesnt feel like Rhiniidae. Check the poboscis (out of focus), it might be Bengalia ? Theo |

Thank you, Zeegers, for sharing your opinion. Bengalia doesn't look correct to me. The size (much bigger) and the general appearance (thoracic pattern etc.) don't seem to fit. See the comparison I' ve attached.
