Ilione lineata ?
Axel D
Hello

Yesterday I found this fly in a wet forest with Molinia caerulea (and Calluna/Erica in other parts). First I thought it was a Limnia (cf. paludicola) but I noticed it lacks the reticulate wing pattern. Therefore I think it can be an Ilione but I don't recognize the common I. albiseta. I think I. lineata should be a good option but I don't know this species and I don't know what does Ilione unipunctata (also known from France) look like.
What is your opinion ?

Found in Poigny-la-Forêt (78125), Yveline, Île-de-France, France
On the 9th of July 2022
Body length : around 9 mm

I anwser to myself : I found (in Seguy's Faune de France, Diptères Brachycères) that Ilione trifaria had a synonym called Tetanocera unipunctata Macquart, 1849. If I correctly understand Ilione unipunctata is the same as this Tetanocera unipunctata and is now considered as a good species. Since Ilione trifaria is quite different from my fly (last antennal segment shorter and rounder, wing spots, habitus...), I think I. unipunctata may also be excluded. Therefore I can't see a better option than I. lineata.
