Hi Eric, it's time to say thank you once again for your support. In the case of Xylota segnis it seems that an obvious criterion to tell male and female apart is again the distance between the eyes: male -> holoptic; female -> dichoptic (as illustrated, for example, by the pictures in the gallery).
