Hi, I identify this species as Xylota triangularis, first time I think of observing this species. You confirm ? Capture in Charente (France) Best, Benoît My web site : http://passion-entomologie.fr/ |

I haven't seen X. triangularis myself, but the photos in https://observati...0/photos/? look rather different - e.g., there are no conspicuous yellow spots on the abdomen and the hind tibiae are much paler. Could this male not belong to X. abiens? Among the species with 4 yellow spots it is the one with the darkest hind tibiae, as I read in https://www.flick...477168354/. However, we need experts' opinion! Regards, Sundew |

Sundew, Indeed, it looks much more like X. abiens! Thank you very much for this information, I must have been wrong in some criteria... Benoît Edited by benoit gilles on 29-07-2022 09:06 My web site : http://passion-entomologie.fr/ |
