Geomyza (Opomyzidae)
Marion Friedrich
Hi,
in the beginning of August I found this fly on dead wood at a forest edge in Germany, Saxony. Could it be a male Drosophila suzukii?
Greetings, Marion

It looks like. Still, it would be nice to see more pictures, if possible.

That is not D. suzukii, and while I don't know what it is right now - I am sure it's not a Drosophilid

All requests are from the urban area of Vienna, if not otherwise stated.

My Diptera observations (and other living forms) can be found here, and corrections or comments over there would also be appreciated.

I suspect Geomyza (Opomyzidae).
Best regards,
Jürgen

Thank you very much for correction.
I have two other, unfortunately, bad pictures. Maybe they are helpful for ID.
I ´ll change the title.

Although I was a bit suspicious (two dark combs of setae on fore tarsi, typical for D. suzukii, were not visible), I was not suspicious enough. Juergen correctly recognized that it is a Geomyza and the two last pictures confirm his opinion.

Marion Friedrich
Thank you for confirmation of Geomyza.
