Unknown fly on reed -> Themira cf. putris male

Hi, this appr. 7 mm fly was found on reed on August 18 at Kyritz lake in Brandenburg, Germany. I have no idea which species it could be, and I appreciate your help. Thank you for help, Hans Edited by Haleun on 20-08-2022 10:14 |

Sepsidae; I think it's a male Themira sp. maybe T. putris |

Hello Roger, thank you very much! Yes, it sometimes showed a Sepsidae-like behavior. And I often saw females of T. putris. This is my first male. Best regards, Hans |
