Hi, I photographed this Bombylid at Hundsheimer Berg, eastern Lower Austria on August 7, 2022. Looking through the Bombyliidae- Gallery I would assum that it is a Lomatia sp. Sorry, I don't understand why I can't upload the image, it is neither bigger than 300KB, bor has it spaces in the file name and the file-type is an ordinary jpg. Eckhart |

Hello Eckart, the first tergites are laterally orange: L. lateralis, I think.
