Hello,
I found this little fly (maybe less than six millimeters) in my garden in Lille (North of France) in May 2020.
I first thought it belonged to the Tachinidae family but, on the LMPI site, I was redirected to the Sarcophagidae family and I think it is justified.
The problem is that I am unable to go further than the family and I would like to know if it is possible, for this insect, to define a genus and, possibly, a species.
Thank you in advance for your help,
Dominique

Here in the southern England, I find most of these small blackish Sarcophagidae turn out to be Sarcophaga dissimilis. But you really need to catch them and put them under a microscope to be sure.
