 Muscidae -> Limnophora maculosa? (UK)

To my eye, the closest match for this muscid that I've managed to find is Limnophora maculosa, but I've been advised by a more experienced dipterist that it doesn't look right for Limnophora. Unfortunately, no alternative genus was proposed. Would someone be able to clarify what genus and/or species this might be? Seen in a small patch of woodland in Sussex, UK on 21.v.2022.
