Hello, this Lucilia (?) was found Sept. 3, '20 in a moist area beside a pond in a flat and open area east of Hannover, Germany. Is an ID possible? Thanks a lot for answers! Hans Edited by Haleun on 06-01-2023 19:40 |

No, clearly a different species. So please split the thread into two, otherwise it gets most confusing. Thank you Theo |

Hello Hans, it's difficult to be sure as we cannot see the first tergites or the palps, but I'll try (with big ?): I think the basicosta is dark and the fly has 3 post acrs - so it could be a male L. silvarum. The distance between the eyes supports that: then frons of L. caesar is distinctly smaller and that of L. bufonivora visibly larger. Greetings, Eric Kloeckner |

Hello Eric, thank you very much! You've made the best of it! Great! So I add a cf. to the name. Your thankful Hans |
