Hello, Could this Tachina be T. magnicornis? The dark median stripe broadens towards the abdomen tip, and the legs, especially the front ones, are very dark brown. Seen on the Island of Usedom in August. Regards, Sundew Edited by Sundew on 23-01-2008 19:27 |

It's a male, you can see the genitalia in the third pic. And since the vertex is broad, magnicornis is an excellent call. Theo |
