It is a tachinid fly - perhaps Linnaemyia. Put that in the thread title, so it will attract our tachinid specialists

It's very similar to a Nowickia specimen I photographed some time ago. I think the ocellar bristles are important to determine the genus. Also, if the legs and antennae are all black, it can't be Tachina. This is the information I have for my specimen. |

Very well spoken. And ocellars are present, excluding Peleteria, so it must be Nowickia. Many similar species, need the specimen. Theo |
