Hi all! Just to show for those who might be interested: This Tabanus sudeticus had no better idea than laying its eggs at my balcony ceiling. I can't imagine, how the larvae could ever reach a suitable habitat for development from there, so I guess, it was kind of emergency laying. Total time for ovipositing about 90 minutes. The clutch is first fresh (1 minute after finishing), on the other pic about 100 hours old. 22.6.23 (last pic 26.6.), Germany, Upper Bavaria, Traunstein Best greetings Rupert |
