Cylindromyia pusilla? => probably Clairvilla biguttata
Volker
Hello,

I photographed this fly on yarrow today. It was much smaller than for example Cylindromyia bicolor. You can also estimate the size by looking at the flower heads of the yarrow. Is this possibly Cylindromyia pusilla?
Germany, Saarland, Bexbach, Garden, Absolute Altitude 250 m, 10.08.2023

Hi Theo,

I only have one picture left and I'm going to upload the first one again, this time a little bigger. Click on the image to enlarge.

That’s what I thought: Clairvillia.
Should be C. biguttata (but in these days, you never know!)
