Hello, this is from Poland. I can’t really figure out what this could be. By best guess is Eurithia, and if Eurithia than should be vivida, but I’m absolutely not sure, even in the genus.. Things what I know but maybe can’t be seen in the pictures: - legs are completely black - 3 dc after the suture - there are more than one rows of black bristles behind the postoculars - lenght is somewhere between 9 and 14 mm. - the arista broke down, but it was thickened for more than 2/3. Could you help me please? |

Yes, it is Eurithia and it is not anthophila. Genitalia, also female, are highly distinctive. Vivida generally has yellow palp. so try to picture the genitalia ! Theo |

Thank you very much, Theo! I can see 1 posthumeral bristle, and palps are black, so I would say Eurithia connivens female. I did pictures of the genitalia: (I don’t know if the quality is enought). Edited by varganimrod on 09-09-2023 21:47 |

And here, the thorax. Mihályi’s key (1986) writes that just concinna has 1 posthumeral |
