Found in the S.F. Botanic Garden on 20th July 2023. Maybe a male Cochliomyia macellaria OR is it Compsomyiops callipes?

From Whitworth's key: Setae on posterior margin of hind coxa pale; palp filiform; calypter whitish; bend in M closer to wing margin than dm-cu crossvein. Three species, one widespread (C. macellaria) ... Cochliomyia Townsend (3 species) Setae on posterior margin of hind coxa long and dark; palp clavate; calypter brown; bend in M closer to dm-cu crossvein or about equal distance between crossvein and wing margin.
