Hello, I photographed this fly in my garden today. The size was approximately 6-7 mm? Does it belong to the genus Tachinidae or to another genus? Is it possible to identify the species? Hello Volker, I think it's a male Bellardia - quite likely a B. viarum.

Cell R4+5 is open: excludes polita and obsoleta Lower calypter is dark: excludes vespillo Fore tibia has 1 pv bristle: excludes usually pandia Veins are very dark and tergite 4 has many discals: usually excludes vulgaris Greetings, Eric Kloeckner |
