Hello, I photographed this fly near Passo delle Ciaresole (TN), Italy, 2300m a.s.l. on August 2nd 2023. I think it is a Dolichopodidae, but is it possible to identify its genus or species from these photos? Thank you in advance, Emanuele Edited by ESant on 17-01-2024 13:18 |

Looks like Hercostomus pokornyi Mik, 1889: Wien. ent. Ztg. 8: 305 ** Type locality: Austria: Schneealpen, in Styria. Palaearctic: Austria, France, Switzerland, Italy.
