Hmmmm You missed something… it is a male with dichoptic eyes So latipennis !! What was the locality more precisely . ( see my review on this group describing Rhagio atlanticus) Theo |

Thanks, Theo! Actually, the dichoptic eyes were my first clue to dismiss scolopaceus  But then, at half past one in the night, I was too late for me to dive deeper (I used the Rhagionid key from van Veen, where apparently latipennis is not listed).
