Gymnosoma rotundatum? copula
crex
Location: Midwest Sweden (Dalsland)
Date: 2007-JUL-21
Habitat: By gravel road through coniferous wood with bogs

I understand Gymnosoma is hard to ID. Maybe a couple in copula makes it easier to ID? I have a few more photos of various quality if some other angle would be needed. She took this guy for quite a ride ...

rotundatum? Please show us the female from above if you have?

Not a very good photo, but hope it helps. It's not much dusting on female thorax.

Andre
That's exactly what I wanted to check. So, only Theo could ruin my perfect ID... I hope.... Shock

I'm not sure, light is tricky, but it looks like nudifrons to me....

G. nudifrons. Sounds like we need a good view of the frons to decide, or is it just thorax dusting that differs!? Thanks both! I appreciate your efforts! Cool

We need the frons of the female.
You can see it in the last pic, but there is a shade of the male, which makes me cautious.
