Tephrochlamys again?
Sundew
Hi,
We had some threads on Tephrochlamys recently, obviously the flies become already active. Now I'd like to test the gained knowledge with a fly that sat on our staircase window today. I postulate:
1. It is Tephrochlamys, because I do not see presutural dorsocental setae and this matches the recently depicted flies that Andrzej already named Tephrochlamys. (With these setae, it would be Suillia instead.)
2. I boldly dare to see a partly darkened subcostal cell, so it would be Tephrochlamys flavipes.
Either Andrzej is surprised by my expert opinion now or he can't stop laughing! In the latter case, I would be glad to get another name for my fly afterwards (I hope the family is correct at least!) I am sorry the pics are bad; my camera seems to be still hibernating...
Thanks, Sundew

Andrzej

Ha - now I am proud, I even grew a little! Many thanks, Andrzej. I still have many yellow flies in stock, and the applicability of my newly gained knowledge is limited, I am afraid. So I shall remain in the need of help...
Cordially, Sundew
